How We Got Here
FC Smith Construction was founded on a straightforward idea: a general contractor should actually run the job. Not just coordinate paperwork, not just hand off to subs and hope for the best, but be present, be accountable, and be the person the client calls when something needs to get done.
Fred Smith has spent more than 30 years in construction. He started in the trades — framing, carpentry, and remodeling — and moved into supervision, construction management, and large-scale project leadership. Along the way he has built commercial retail and office centers across metro Atlanta and helped lead projects with crews of more than 200 people.
Today FC Smith brings that experience to commercial build-outs, storm and flood repair, roofing, and remodeling across Cobb, Cherokee, Fulton, Gwinnett, and DeKalb counties. We manage the whole project, bringing in the right licensed trades and staying accountable for the result. The scale changes. The standard doesn't.
How We Work
These aren't slogans. They're the things we actually get called out on when we fall short — so we take them seriously.
Accountability
One contract, one point of contact, one person responsible for the outcome. We don't pass problems down the chain.
Transparency
You'll know what's happening on your job site. Schedule updates, budget changes, and problems get communicated before they become surprises.
Craftsmanship
We hold every subcontractor to our standard. Work that isn't right gets redone, no argument.
Respect for the Client
Whether you're a first-time homeowner or a seasoned developer, you get the same level of communication and care. Your project matters to us.
